right, thanks for correcting that link. I'd like to hear from people who are using the signed applet; I don't think many people are doing that. If your data files can be on the CD, then there's no need. Just make sure the data files are in a subdirectory of the directory containing the JAR files. That's the only additional restriction for use from a local drive.
