Within a very extensive thread entitled "pop-up documentation" that
runs all through August and deals with a problem in MacOS with Bob's
documentation examples, I have just found this comment by David
Leader:

As it is me who wrote those pop-ups, I have gone and checked them.
(More below)

I rewrote the **Demo** pages, examples 1 and 2, to show the code
alongside the applet and controls. This arose from some posts by
newbies which were being somehow confused by the examples, and
getting not-working first tries especially by working with local
files, not web server. I posted a RFC on the userslist, and finally
decided to add these modified pages to the website --this final task
was done by Nico, as I didn't have access--.

The **Demo** page http://jmol.sourceforge.net/demo/ works fine, since
the examples open in full window. The thing is they are also linked
(which I didn't notice) from the **JavaScript Library** page,
http://jmol.sourceforge.net/jslibrary/ and this opens small,
notresizable windows where the now expanded content doesn't fit.
(BTW, I never understand the reason for opening a fixed-size,
nonresizable window)
So, what needs to be done is change the parameters for window opening
from the JSlibrary page.
Or was there any other malfunctioning in the pop-up? I haven't
located David's original post.
David, please check first from Demonstration page that all works
well.

Maybe, but I think not in this case.
The way the system jumps to English whenever it doesn't find the
localized page looks very effective to me, although it gives more
trouble when javascript is involved in the page rather than just
plain text.

Last June, Nico gave me access rights for updating some pages in the
web site, but I haven't had the time to pursue the task. My idea is
to update info, such as the places where it says that version 10 is
in beta. I hope to find time in the coming months. Since I cannot
help in the programming area, I would like to contribute in
documentation.
