For Zooming on a Mac (one button mouse) it appears to me that Shift-Drag-Left-Button is the only way. But I find it very cumbersome to have the Z rotations tied to the left-right drag, since I can rarely drag perfectly up-down for a pure zoom. I am unable to do a pure zoom without inadvertantly rotating around Z. Frustrating!
On Windows, the scroll wheel is perfect for Zoom and avoids this frustration. Am I missing some trick on the Mac? I suggest (for Macs) that Z rotation be removed from Shift-Drag (only button), or else that a double shift be enabled to disable the Z rotation, such as Shift-Alt-Drag (which seems to be unused). This would mean we need a new mouse gesture for Z rotation. How about Alt-Drag since that appears to be unused? Sorry if this issue has already been beaten to death and I missed it. Wanted to put in my two cents before v11 comes out.
