When the molecule is rotated the filled areas of helices and sheets disappear and reappear, depending on the angle. Sometimes they disappear completely even if the molecule isn't rotating (with 'set ribbonborder off' you only see the thin trace Angel reported). Even writing an 'echo' text sometimes changes the visibility. Besides the traces of the turns show huge conformational changes during rotations. And if you look at the border beetween a turn and a beta sheet while rotating you can observe that the trace switches from one side to the middle and then to the other side. In the middle position the filled area disappears.
