Freida, you are absolutely correct. That would be much simpler. I have modified the code and implemented for upcoming (but still in local testing) 10.9.98:
select *.CA set labelPointer on # on and color of text set labelPointer off # or "none" set labelPointer background # on, but color of background Label pointers are thus atom-specific. Select the atoms, set their label pointers on or off and color the pointers based on the label background if desired. Works for any label, multiline or not. This REMOVES the now unnecessary: set labelPointerBox set labelPointerNoBox set labalPointerBackground as general settings.
