I have Jmol 11.1.20 installed and am trying to use slab to define a visible
volume with respect to the cell axes. For example I might want to see only what
is within some box x=(0.25,0.75) y=(0.0,0.5) z=(0.0,1.0) where the numbers are
fractions of the cell lengths. So I guess I need the "internal slabbing" that
became available in 11.1.

But first there seems to be a minor bug using "slab set". If I do:
slab hkl {1 0 0};slab 50;slab set;
nothing happens. I have to first define the slab, and then set it in a second
command i.e.
slab hkl {1 0 0};slab 50; and then do "slab set".
And I don't really understand "slab hkl {h k l}" anyway, which I thought would
define a slab wrt the structure so that it didn't change when I rotated it even
without the "slab set".

I guess I should be using "slab plane plane_expression" but I couldn't work out
how to do that either :-( and I couldn't find an example of internal slabbing
in the doc (I find examples much easier than instructions).

Browsing the Jmol mailing lists, I found a reference to defining slabs with the
mouse (SHIFT-CTRL-LEFT-DRAG) which looked interesting, but dragging the mouse
after doing "slab on" did nothing for me. Friday is perhaps not my best day :-(

Alan.
