Jmol users:

Jmol 11.2 has been released. The following list summarizes the changes
since the most recent release, Jmol 11.0.

Please note that the default perspective model has been set to 11
instead of 10. This means that users who are installing this release in
web sites now using earlier versions of Jmol and use scripted "zoom" or
"moveto" or related commands will notice a difference.

Tests on installed web sites should be done, and if the appearance is
not as desired, "set perspectiveModel 10" can be used when the applet is
loaded to force Jmol to use the old perspective model. Differences in
models can be investigated using
<http://www.stolaf.edu/academics/chemapps/jmol/docs/examples-11/perspective.htm>

or, of course, your own web site.

Zoom values in the new model can result in substantially different
structure sizes. The decision to move to using perspectiveModel 11 as
default was not an easy one. Advantages of using the new model include
that (a) the zoom level is now linearly dependent upon the zoom value,
(b) there is substantially improved rendering of balls and sticks at
very high levels of zoom, and (c) molecular "navigation" is possible.

A discussion of the details of the Jmol 11 perspective model can be
found at http://www.stolaf.edu/chemapps/jmol/docs/misc/navigation.pdf

In addition, users who wish to use all the features of Jmol 11.2 EXCEPT
the new perspective model can use the prerelease version 11.1.49, which
is listed along with 11.2.0 on the download page at
<http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=23629>. The only
difference between these two versions is the default perspectiveModel
setting.
