One other thing -- I just added to 11.3.10 the ability to adjust the JPG quality. The JPG file creator allows for an integer quality (1-100) parameter, and now we can pass that on. I think this would make movies from JPG sequences more managable -- when a subject is moving you don't need as high resolution. See http://photo.net/learn/jpeg/#qual
The syntax is: write JPG nnn "filename" # where nn is a number from 1 to 100. write JPG 100 "myfile.jpg" # default quality 100 write JPG 50 "myfile.jpg" # about 20% of the file size, perhaps; something like this recommended for movies Bob Benny Chain wrote: > I was wondering whether there is any easy way of taking a rotating > image from JMOL and making a series of stills from each image, other > than doing it one by one by hand ? > > I tried using Polyview instead but it didn’t seem to be nearly as > flexible in terms of colouring bits of the molecule, etc. > > Any suggestions would be gratefully received ! > > Benny Chain > > Benjamin Chain > > Department of Immunology and Molecular Pathology Windeyer Institute of > Medical Sciences UCL, 46 Cleveland St. > > London W1T 4JF > > Fax 00 44 20 7679 9301 > -- Robert M.
