I agree with Nick's general feeling about simple, everyday commands 
being rather hidden in the menu.
I raised this subject some time ago and, after the rather hot 
discussion that followed about user interface design theories, I gave 
up.
But I still think it is important for novice users to have simple 
options at hand. So, if we can reach some agreement, I vote for it.

Schemes already do complex things (like deactivating other styles 
while activating one, applying color in addition to style...), so 
maybe the separation of Schemes outside Styles is a good choice.
