I can see your objections but couldn't it at least be an option? Like we can
turn spin on and off?
Jmol wasn't designed to be a coffee table product but it might interest more
people to get started exploring molecules if its interface could be made more
immediate. The precise control would be a better option for academic users,
agreed; but what about students who encounter it for the first time and are
used to other interfaces?
