Hello Jan, chime associated pdb mime types with IE, thus by clicking on a link pointing to a pdb file you could launch directly IE. As far as I know this is not the case with jmol. But you can achieve similar effect by embedding a web page including the jmol applet directly into your powepoint slides : the liveweb macro for powerpoint allows you to include an IE instance right into you slides, you just have to point to the html page you want to display.
