I am wondering what is the best way to turn off or delete all
renderings, so that nothing is visible, before running a new script
that makes a new rendering of the same molecule. I am aware that
"hide all" hides all renderings, but I am asking how to turn off or
delete all renderings.

"restrict none" turns off most of the ordinary renderings. However
there are several that are not turned off. Therefore I have
tentatively come up with this "all renderings off" script:

restrict none;
select all;
dipole delete;
draw delete;
hbonds off;
isosurface delete;
lcaocartoon delete;
mo delete;
pmesh delete;
set echo off;

# restrict none does NOT erase dipoles, hbonds, surfaces, draw
results, lcaocartoons,
# mo's, pmesh's or echos.
# restrict none erases geosurfaces, halos, polyhedra, stars, ssbonds,
monitor lines,
# labels, and dots.
# note that hide and display are Jmol commands that act differently
than restrict none.

Is there a simpler way?

Thanks, -Eric
