Thank you for notifying me, Bob. I have put the "go" button lines now in
front of the description box layer. So they should now also be visible

The local file is not read directly by the applet. It is sent to the
server and loaded by the applet from there. On the one hand this enables
 viewing of local files with the unsigned applet. On the other hand the
Jena3D interface is build specifically for each file loaded. And we plan
to do a similar mapping of features on uploaded structures on-the-fly as
it is done for PDB entries.

The signed applet is only necessary for using the expanded export
options (PNG, POVRay etc.).
