Hi all,

my name is Marko (from Slovenia), and I am completely ignorant how
programs and such work. I am the end user (the stupid one ;-) , by which I
mean that I want to get what I want, from the program I use.

But, I have problems with Jmol, and help would be MUCH appreciated!

I have attached the molecule of Ibogaine, which I want to move from the
present virtual form into mater. Well, the attached molecule is not
exactly as I want it to be, but I simply cannot save it in any other
appearance. The final molecule in Jmol should be like this:

- wireframe
- labels with element symbol (but only O and both N --> without C and H)
- dot surface (with smallest dots possible; it seems to me that these are,
how should I say, number 3, so I assume they can be number 1 as well,
which sounds smaller to me...)

Needles to say, I have no idea how to get rid of labels C and H, as I have
no idea how to shrink the dotted surface to number 1. And believe me that
I have spent endless hours trying everything possible and impossible!

Now, you have an idea of the desired end product in Jmol. Next step to
materialization, is saving this file in Maya or VRML formats. When I click
to either SAVE options, nothing happens. Nothing at all. Nothing is saved.

The end file format I need this molecule to materialize it is DXF file or
MAX file, which means that there is still a lot of work to be done once
the file is saved in VRML or Maya. Of course, I have no idea how to
convert from Maya or VRML to DXF or MAX. Yet ;-)

Now you know. PLEASE somebody help me with this!

If you want to know anything else (except how I intend to materialize the
molecule [which is the simplest procedure of all!]) just ask, and I'll be
glad to answer.

Regards,

Marko
