Jmol 11.7.25 will be released soon. You can try it at <http://chemapps.stolaf.edu/jmol/docs/examples-11/new.hm>http://chemapps.stolaf.edu/jmol/docs/examples-11/new.hm

Most notably, after typing CTRL-K, you can now type directly into the applet. Keystrokes are echoed to the screen.

Also, we have a preliminary version a feature that allows you to drag and rotate selected atoms. This is enabled with "set dragSelected"

very cool! Do you plan a corresponding moveto option (and show moveto)?

Jan

Both of these features have minor bugs at this time.

Please be on the alert for problems with isosurface in this version; I did a major rewrite of the code for calculating the surface triangles, and as complex as that is, I might have missed something. The main thing there is that for those of you interested in creating JVXL files, there is a new application, org.openscience.jmol.jvxl.simplewriter.ASimpleJvxlWriter.java, that illustrates how simple JVXL files can be created by other programs. Should be very very easy to implement.

If nature does not answer first what we want,
it is better to take what answer we get.
