Eran,
should work already. Try loading the map file using the isosurface command.
We've got examples of that at
http://chemapps.stolaf.edu/jmol/docs/examples-11/isosurface.htm
Typically these are then mapped onto a molecular surface, but they don't
have to be, as examples there show.
