Yeah. Flot looks great. I'm thinking I'll switch from svg to that
(though I'd still like to learn how to do the svg so may continue that).
One issue I've been stewing over. For my application I want to plot
some x,y points then connect them with a smooth curve. Curve fitting
seems overkill since its just for looks. I've thought about trying to
do it somehow with bezier curves. Any suggestions?

I'm thinking of general 2D data plotting -- nice x and y axes,
flexibility to pick points and run JavaScript from that, labels,

divGraph package does, but with a more general interface to Jmol.
oooooooohhh -- yes, flot is what I was thinking. OK! I'd go for that!

I know we have looked at 2d plotting packages recently for doing
things
in javascript using the canvas element. Some people have been
experimenting with flot, for example (http://code.google.com/p/flot/).
We've also proposed an html5 backend to matplotlib, similar to
http://skuld.bmsc.washington.edu/~merritt/gnuplot/canvas_demos/ ,
though
I don't think anyone is working on it.
