When you say "back to ASCII" what are you meaning? Generally a mapped
isosurface is derived from two cube files -- most of that data is stripped
away in compressing to JVXL, because it is just a single 2-D surface, not
the full 3-D data set. But one could imagine some sort of other "ASCII"
format.
