I was trying to determine the effects of zap on animation, echos, and setantialiasdisplay. My testing reproducibly leads to an OutOfMemoryError: java heap space.
I got this result several times in Jmol 11.9.1, and then on the first try in Jmol 11.9.4. Tests were under OS 10.5.8 (current Leopard), with java 1.5.0_20 (current Apple). Because I cannot copy the contents of the command input window to the clipboard in OS X, I have saved a snaphot of it that shows the exact command sequence. You can see the .png snapshot here: http://molvis.sdsc.edu/tmp/ I executed the "exit" command early in the script, while the stick rendering of the drug Ritonavir is "expanding" to spacefill. This is during a "for" loop that increments zoom on each cycle. At the above URL you can also download the files hivdrug.pdb and hivdrug.spt required to duplicate the error.
