the command is
bind
not sure what "background" is all about there. Did I write that somewhere?
If you mean "rotate about the Y axis of the window" that's different than
"rotate about the Y axis of the molecule." Which are you interested in?
would be something like
unbind "double-click-left"
bind "double-click-left" "rotate Y _DELTAX"
or
unbind "double-click-left"
bind "double-click-left" "rotate molecular Y _DELTAX"
