I've been trying to track down and erratic applet lock-up problem with
Jmol 12.0.RC15_HOLD, and I think I finally have a consistent set of
symptoms.
I have bind routines that I use to translate and rotate disconnected
fragments in the Jmol window. The fragments are currently selected by
the following pick call back script:
x = {*}.atomindex.all.size;select within(branch, {atomIndex = x},
{atomIndex = _atomPicked});color fuchsia;delay .5;color cpk;
I can play with the binds to select, translate, and rotate fragments ad
nauseum with no problem. If, however, I turn modelkitmode ON then OFF
(no other action), the applet locks up after 0 to 4 continued selects.
Because of the lock-up, I cannot get a history of the event.
I've used a hover call back approach to set the select, and the lock-up
also occurs. While I set model kit mode with script, the problem still
occurs when I use the Jmol menu to set model kit mode on and off.
Is there something not being turned on and off properly by use of the
following couplet?
set modelkitmode = true
set modelkitmode = false
