I have cleaned up the perspective more. Not entirely sure this is the way to
do it, but I it feels right and I have

-- removed the motion/animation stuff
-- moved the model rotation/centering to the "PARENT" matrix at the top of
the IDTF file.
-- removed variables 3Dcoo and 3Dc2c (3Droo is still there as a method of
setting zoom, and I think it might be a bit off.)

The result is that you can move the center of rotation around with
ALT-CTRL-drag, and get PRETTY MUCH the right picture. I'll do more checking
tonight or tomorrow. Still could be something slightly incorrect there...
