You just download the Jmol.jar and start it from the command line with Java:
$ sudo aptitude install openjdk-6-jre wget unzip
$ cd /tmp
$
wgethttp://downloads.sourceforge.net/project/jmol/Jmol/Version%2012.0/Version%2012.0.27/Jmol-12.0.27-binary.zip
$ unzip Jmol-12.0.27-binary.zip
