It seems Chrome does not work with some Jmol containing pages on Mac OS
10.6.6/Chrome 9.0.597.102 I get the yellow text telling me I need to install
Java.
For example http://chemapps.stolaf.edu/jmol/docs/examples-11/new.htm
but this older page is fine http://jmol.sourceforge.net/demo/atoms/ as is
http://chemapps.stolaf.edu/jmol/docs/examples-12/new.htm
Visiting I get the Java test page http://www.java.com/en/download/testjava.jsp
all seems well and Terminal tells me
ngmac:MacPorts-1.9.2 ngreeves$ java -version
java version "1.6.0_22"
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.6.0_22-b04-307-10M3261)
Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (build 17.1-b03-307, mixed mode)
ngmac:MacPorts-1.9.2 ngreeves$
It is fair to say I don't understand this.
Best regards
Nick
