I see that solid black parts of images incorporated in Jmol using the 'set echo 
image' command become outlines when 'set antialiasdisplay' is set to 'on'.

I don't think it is just old versions of Jmol because I tested with Jmol 
12.1.43 
at

Importantly, I think you'll see in the first example that items that are other 
colors are not affected.
