This is simply an update on the questions I recently posed about mac compatibility. Using OSX 10.6.8 and the latest Mac Java (Java 6 update 5), Jmol runs fine as far as I can tell, though I have tested extensively.
With regard to OSX 10.7 (Lion), I have been reading reviews but have not updated. There seem to be a number of issues, though I have seen none related to Java. Although not included in the initial install, Java is available for download. I am in the process of doing some disc management and will not install Lion for at least a week, and then on an external drive. I will check Jmol out at that time and post to the list, if someone else has not so by then. Phil J.
