Hmmm, I think your wireframe is good, just reduce the bond line thickness as
you did.
For "Ball and Stick", how about something like in the second rotator?:

I'm not sure about "Spacefill"... Let me think about that. I will try to put
something together.
Of course, the 2D components are only a temporary substitution while WebGL
becomes enabled on mobile devices. The graphics will be satisfactory but will
not be as good as a thorough renderer with vertex z-sorting (for instance, in
Spacefill, atoms may appear to jump in front of and behind each other). But I
think it would be cool if I could come up with something.
