To clarify, I mean a general label for the whole isosurface, not for the
individual vertices; some label that can be different from the ID, maybe with
the same syntax as for the draw command where you can have one text string
after the ID keyword and another one for the label. My motivation here is to
get label that are nicer then the ID and not necessarily unique.

Just that I find the docu unclear. It talks about three string parameters, one
after the ID keyword and two without any keyword, at the beginning and at the
end of the parameter list, respectively. With the observed behavior I would
suggest to combine the description of the "text" and "hoverText", and also note
that if no "text" or "hoverText" is given the ID is taken for that too. I could
write a suggestion for a that.
