I assume you mean

- hits a link, 
that runs some JmolScript

- and then the "Back button"

the browser's back button, right?

I find it hard to think that this may be done, as they are at two very 
different 
layers - the browser interface, back means go to former page and it is not the 
case, the page has bot changed, only its content (inside Jmol)

What you probably need is to implement buttons or links that will go back in 
Jmol history (as Mike is suggesting), or reset the state, or reload the model 
file.
