On this theme, whilst  Java 1.7 is a simple drop in replacement for  1.6, at 
least as far as Safari and  Firefox are concerned, I have not been able to get 
Chrome to recognise it and run  Jmol (it had no problems with  1.6). 

"You do not have Java applets enabled in your web browser, or your browser is 
blocking this applet".

Does anyone have a recipe, or must we wait for  Google to fix this?

PS I use chrome for several reasons, but one good one is that it has a 
wonderful "Presentation mode"  with which you can fool people into thinking you 
are running  Powerpoint!  I use  Jmol a lot in presentations.
