Rolf, can you give me your exact test? One thing I noticed is that if you
have a large display area (1000 x 600) and you issue:

load 1crn.pdb
set antialiasdisplay;set cartoonFancy
t = now();reset;zoomto 1 {1};print now(t)

that does take about 2.5 seconds, because the renderer can't keep up. In
13.0, when you use set hemiteLevel 5, during the movement the cartoons
become flat again, and that allows the renderer to move faster.

Do you think it has something to do with that?
