Those are some sort of background images for the menu system, I suppose. I
thought I had avoided those (because they are never there anyway) but maybe
not. OK, I found them.

That did not work; but adding this:
this._menuContainer.bind("oncontextmenu contextmenu", function()
{return false;})
in coremenu.z.js did work, I think. Try that now.
