Sorry if I intrude, but the issue is not how to "fix" simple2.htm to be
xhtml-compliant (after all, it is a sample page). One should write a xhtml age
from scratch (knowing how to do it), then the actual question is whether code
generated by JSmol libraries is or not correct.
Second: As far as I could see, Jmol.setXHTML(id) should be used to create
and insert the Jmol object, and so replaces the regular Jmol.getApplet()
method. does not add to it.
