Dear All (especially Mac users).
I have recently updated Java to 1.7.0_25-b15 (from 21 oddly) and now I can’t
load web pages with Jmol applets locally from my HD. I get a red text security
message.

Loading from a web site is fine.

The purpose of this message is to save others time and, if anyone has a
solution, I’d be delighted to hear it.

In recent months the stream of Java updates seems to have been accompanied by
various inconvenient changes - security warnings, two for the signed applet
(!), which don’t seems to respect their own trust-me checkboxes.

All in all, it is just as well Bob has provided JSmol but, like Angel, I do
find the speed troubling especially on older iOS hardware. Technically it is a
triumph but the hardware needs to get faster!
Best regards
Nick
