Firefox (version 22 or later and maybe also earlier) has a fabulous
built-in HTML/CSS 'Inspector' with a rotatable 3D view. It helps a lot
with multiple layers. You can activate the 'Inspector' for example by
pressing 'Ctrl Shift I' simultaneously or by right-clicking a HTML
elemnt and selecting 'Inspect element' in the popup menu. The 3D view is
activated by an icon at the top right.
