Working on a CAPTURE command:
capture "motions.gif"
capture off
Idea is to create animated GIFs either from the app, signed applet, or
HTML5. The CAPTURE command would start capturing image production and
sending it to an output stream (local file or web-based), and the capture
OFF command would close the stream and deliver the file. I thought I could
use
set ANIMATIONFPS
to set the frame rate for the GIF animation.
I'm most of the way through re-writing the GIF encoder to allow this, and
it is going very well.
I was thinking we also could have something like
ANIMATION CAPTURE "animation.gif"
I don't think it's going to be easy to write a MOV or MP4 writer, but
another option would be to create a ZIP file containing all the frames in
other image formats such as PNG or JPG.
Suggestions are welcome.
