The command "select *.chainID" works beautiful on my JSmol!

To my understanding, HTML5 tags compromise a number of JSmol features. I do
NOT use HTML tags in my webpage. Just let the browser select the best HTML
available.

Try removing HTML5 tags.

Just some thoughts.
