OK, that fixed the problem that you didn't find. I don't have a clue. Maybe
I had a corrupted file transfer when I installed the other Jmol version.

Did you ever successfully install Safari 7.0 with Mavericks? I'm curious
about whether Apple might have silently withdrawn Safari 7.0 until it gets
some serious therapy.
