What this means is simply that if someone made the PDF from a Word document
using Jmol''s PNGJ files, one could write a tool that "merges" them to
produce  new PDF file with the 3D model included. Workflow couldn't be
easier:

1) Create a Word file myPaper.docx
2) Drag-drop into it the figures, as PNGJ files
3) Save as myPaper.pdf
4) process with whatever tool
5) Open myPaper_3D.pdf

What could be simpler?


Can you check OpenOffice? -- create a document; drop in a PNGJ figure.
Let's take a look and see what is in there.
