I have seen this twice now, but I don't see exactly how to reproduce it.
It seems to be something with file caching. I'm guessing that in Chrome
when you first view a page with a cleared cache and you initiate a
measurement, you have to wait for

loading... ./j2s/core/corescriptcmd.z.js

to complete. But Chrome is doing something odd, and the rendering starts
and fails, or something like that. The single atom is probably a sign that
the screen transformation matrix has been lost, but I'm not sure why that
would be.
