The JSmol Wiki has instructions for starting up Windows Chrome so that
JSmol runs locally. There is also a Mac terminal command to do this. I did
not see this in the Wiki - maybe I missed it:
open /Applications/Google\ Chrome.app --args --allow-file-access-from-files
Just in case the spaces are not obvious above:
open<space>/Applications/Google\<space>Chrome.app<space>--args<space>
--allow-file-access-from-files
Make sure an instance of Chrome is not active when you issue the terminal
command.
I'm sure there must be an AppleScript that can be written to do this in one
fell swoop.
On another note, the Local Storage Notebook.htm page now converts names and
smiles type/pasted into a note to a structure image. What's a chemistry
notebook without structures!
