I wasn't aware that you are using the application and not the applet.
In the applet the window that opens if you click 'Console' in the menu
consists of two parts: an upper part were results and messages are shown
and a lower part were you can enter and edit commands and start them
explicitly with the 'Run' button or with "Enter" if it is only a
singe-line command.
In the application this is different. The window contains just a single
part. Results and messages are shown there and you can enter commands.
But they are executed immediately. You must click on the "Editor" button
in this window to be able to change anything after you pasted in
something and start the execution of the commands manually by clicking
the 'Run' button.
But I can't see any error messages in your snapshot. So it looks like
everything worked ok.
Did the molecule rotate after you entered the command?
Then it is most likely that the files were written as intended. You just
have to find them on your computer.
If a filename is provided in the 'write IMAGE ...' command there will be
no dialog box asking where to save the file.
In this case you should provide the full directory path togeteher with
the actual baseFilename in the 'baseFilename' parameter.
On Linux this would look for example like this (as a single line):
exportAnimation("/home/rhuehne/test/jmol_movie","500","500","180","rotate
axisangle
{1 1 0} 2");
