The issue here is tht the above URL is not linked to the  DOI in any way that 
is formally declared using metadata.   It  “might” work, but if  Figshare 
reorganise the internal structures of their servers, it will break. Formally, 
one should not need to know the internal file paths, merely the  DOI.  Also, it 
i predicated on knowing the exact file name, and again abstraction away from 
that is necessary.
