Thank you a lot for your responses.

I’m afraid that changing the hermitelevel did not achieve the desired effect - 
the problem is that one always can see the outlines of the individual spheres. 
Maybe manually increasing the number of spheres drawn will make things a bit 
better, although I didn’t find out if this is possible (increasing the number 
of points for construction did not change anything there). I attached an 
example (this is no arrow, I agree, but the concept should be the same).
