Hi David

As I understand it, Jmol renders by generating a bitmap on screen and 
updates it continuously. So I don't thik it is possible to convert to a vector 
image.

The most close thing I can think to the vector, high-quality idea is the export 
to PovRay (2D) or export to VRML (3D). Those formats hold actual scalable, 
drawn objects that are calculated by Jmol from the internal data of the model 
and its current display, but not just from the look of them on screen.
