Dear Jmolers,

Luciano's recent message reminded me to share with you a recent
development of mine. I found a cool and simple trick to display a progress
image (animated spinner) while JSmol is being constructed and inserted in
its place in the page, that goes away automatically when that insertion has
finished.
It uses just one line of JS code (in JSmol-speficic syntax), one line of CSS
code and an image file.
Please see
http://wiki.jmol.org/index.php/Loading_Notice#Spinner_while_JSmol_loads

Bob, maybe this could be implemented as default?

It worked beautifully in a page of mine where the JSmols took a noticeable
time to show up and meanwhile I was just seeing empty blank squares. Now
the user can perceive something is going on.

(After JSmol has been inserted, the delay in loading large molecules is nicely
handled with an echo)
