Dear Angel and jmol group: Thank you Angel for suggesting slab and cap, which are nice. However they don't give me what I'm looking for.
For instance, if the isosurface is a sphere, then I would like the intersection of the sphere with a plane; in other words, a circle. In contrast, slab gives me a half-sphere, and cap gives me a half-sphere plus a plane covering it. I would like to ask the jmol group for further suggestions about how to plot the intersection of an isosurface with a plane. The intersection should be one or more curves plotted where the plane hits the isosurface. Thank you, Vincent On Thu, Mar 31, 2016 at 7:22 PM, Angel Herráez <angel.herr...@uah.es> wrote: > Hi Vincent > > This is a wild guess, but maybe you should try the CAP or SLAB options of > the isosurface > > http://chemapps.stolaf.edu/jmol/docs/#isosurfaceconstruction/mappingparam > eters--generalshapesandvolumetriccubefiledata > > > >
