I would like to clarify the status of JMX 2 from what I understand JMX 2 was dropped from JDK 7 and yet the openjdk JMX project page says "Evolutions of the JMX API and JMX Remote API in JDK version 7 are covered by JSR 255, JMX API 2.0". So I am a little confused if JMX 2 is in JDK 7 or not? If JMX 2 hasn't made it JDK 7, I hope somebody is pushing to get it included in JDK 8.
