A Call for Participation at summer camp
Many greetings from Moldova!
IRFF Moldova, Service for Peace Moldova, International Association for
Education in R. Moldova are happy to invite you to take part in annual
international summer Camps for Youth and universities students ages 16 and up
to 30.
The camp will take place in Chisinau, Moldova Republic of.
Two summer camps will last for one week each starting from the 24th till the
30th of July 2007 first and 1st till the 7th of August second one. We secured
affordable and very attractive facilities to ensure a safe environment for a
wide range of activities.
The aim of these summer camp is to enable youth to make changes in their
communities by using service projects and media also to exchange their
experiences, hobbies, innovations and cultures.
Goals:
1. Exchange of best practices among volunteers from all participation nations
(Moldova, Estonia, USA, Italy, Romania, Ukraine, Russia, Japan, Korea etc.)
2. Transformative educational program based on Core Values
3. Youth Leadership Education
4. Rich out to the community trough service projects.
5. Use mass-media tools (newsletter, radio and TV) to promote Culture of Peace.
The participants for the camp will be selected by Organizing committee based on
following criteria:
1.. Speak and understand English.
2.. Motivation and desire to transform.
3.. Understanding and practicing Core Values.
4.. Respect of Chastity and Purity and Healthy life-style (no smoking, no
alcohol, no drugs).
5.. Submit written application.
6.. Recommendation letter from affiliated institution, organization or VIP.
7.. Motivation letter.
8.. Essay on the topic: My role for Peaceful World.
9. Curriculum Vitae with recent photo.
Youth Organizations, community centers, artists, students and other self
motivated youth and volunteers, are encouraged to submit for this Camp.
Participants are requested to pay camp fees {30 euro for 1st region- Moldova
including its regions Transnistria and Gagauzia, 90 euro for 2nd region-former
USSR countries, $150 euro 3rd region-all other countries} for each participant.
(The fees can be sending by Bank wire or be paid with the arrival of
participants and it covers all their expenses while staying at the camp
including hotels, food and transportations.)
Program areas and activities include:
* Educational workshops including English language study.
* Site-seeing, adventure & other cultural activities.
* Sports & art competitions.
* Youth challenges.
* Service Projects.
* Public speech contest.
* Art and cultural exhibitions.
