Web Developer Java Series
The ideal candidate will be a team and results-oriented developer who
enjoys the satisfaction of their work being seen and used by hundreds of
thousands of people.
Experience: The ideal candidate will have six or more years experience
creating and developing commercial-grade middleware or enterprise
infrastructure software, and a Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer
Science. A proven track record of being able to work in a fast-paced
environment and "make things happen" in advancing the software life
cycle is a plus.
He or she will have a passion for creating something new, seeing their
creation become a reality, and helping to build a successful business.
Key Responsibilities: You will work as part of a small team to design,
code, test, and debug our core web application, ancillary web
applications, and data analysis and reporting tools.
You will be the primary responsible engineer for the business services
layer of our customer web application. Your core responsibilities will
include implementing all business rules associated with the client's
processing, cash back accounting, the client's Groups, Refer-A-Friend,
and all other product features. This includes defining and creating
domain objects (using Hibernate), provision of services to the
controllers in our MVC stack, and unit test development.
Personal Characteristics:
- Ability to work within a team
- High level of individual productivity
Technical Requirements:
- BS or higher in Computer Science or similar area
- Six or more years hands-on experience in creating
commercial-grade software
- Proficiency or expertise in Java
Additional Desired Experience:
- Experience building medium- to large-scale Java-based systems
- Previous use of the Hibernate object relational manager
- Previous use of the Maven build environment
- Experience working in startup companies
